PITTSFORD, N.Y.—The William Smith College tennis team defeated St. John Fisher 7-2 this afternoon. The victory gives Head Coach
Chip Fishback his 126th career win, which ties the William Smith record held by former coach Mary Hosking. Fishback's career mark is now 126-70.
First-year
Kiara Ocasio led the Herons with a 6-2, 6-2 win over Katie Barlow at second singles. She also teamed up with classmate
Remy Raevsky for an 8-3 victory over Barlow and Marissa Rotondo at second doubles.
Sophomore

Jess McCue, and Raevsky all handily won their singles matches at No. 3, No. 4, No. 5, and No. 6, respectively, while sophomore
Joanie Hilton lost a hard-fought match to Elena Vahl 6-2, 7-6, 6-3 at No. 1.

Katie Serock joined together to win the third doubles match. They defeated Jordan Brungard and Katelyn Smith 8-2.
William Smith (1-0) will be back in action Sept. 25-27, when the Herons host the ITA Northeast Regional Championships at the HWS Tennis Center. Play will begin at 9 a.m. on Friday.
