GENEVA, N.Y.—William Smith first-year
Maggie Nash finished in first place at the Heron Invitational held today at Seneca Lake State Park. Nash claimed first of 24 runners, and finished 58 seconds ahead of the second place runner from SUNY-ESF.
Nash crossed the finish line of the 5-kilometer course with a time of 20 minutes, 10 seconds. Four William Smith runners finished in the top five. First-year
Meghan Gaucher placed third in 21:34 and sophomore
Kelly Watters was right behind her in 21:58. Rounding out the top five was first-year
Marielle Verni. She took fifth with a time of 21:59. First-year KC Cronmiller was right behind her completing the course in 22:03 for a sixth place finish.
The Herons will host the Liberty League Cross Country Championships at the Seneca Lake State Park Course on Saturday, Oct. 30, at 1 p.m.
