CLINTON, N.Y.—The Hobart College tennis team fell to Hamilton 8-1 this afternoon at the Gray Tennis Courts. The Statesmen slip to 7-8 overall, while the Continentals improve to 4-5 on the year.
First-year
Alex James earned the lone point for Hobart, defeating Jordan Petit 6-4, 6-0 at third singles. At fifth singles, sophomore
Kevin Bates gave Mike Moreno all he could handle, but Moreno came out on top 6-7, 6-4, 10-5.
Bates teamed up with senior
Guillaume Etlin at third doubles as well. They were edged by Greg Kreitzer and Coby Berman after a hard-fought match, 9-7.
The Statesmen will be back in action tomorrow, April 8, when they host Ithaca at 4 p.m.
