Invitational Results

OSWEGO, N.Y. – First-year Margaret Nash led the Heron cross country team with a ninth place finish at the 20th Annual Oswego State Invitational today. William Smith finished third out of seven teams.

Nash was ninth of 77 runners, and completed the Pat Peterson 5-kilometer Race in 21 minutes, 30.28 seconds. Next to cross the finish for the Herons was first-year Meghan Gaucher who recorded a time of 21:39.26 to take 13th place. First-year KC Cronmiller claimed 19th finishing in 21:57.38. Sophomore Kelly Watters finished 33rd and first-year Melissa Haggerty took 37th place.

William Smith earned a team total of 111 points, just seven points off from second place finishers, Oswego State. Ithaca College took first place with 18 team points.

The Herons will compete next at home in the annual Hobart Invitational at 11 a.m. on Sept. 18.
