The William Smith squash team will travel to Princeton, N.J., this weekend, Feb. 18-20, to compete for the Walker Cup. The Herons, who are ranked 23rd in the nation, will take on No. 18 Hamilton in their first round match.
William Smith will look to avenge its loss to the Continentals earlier this season. The two teams will meet on Friday, Feb. 18 at 9 a.m.
There are 39 teams participating in five divisions in the CSA team championships. The Herons and are in the C Division along with Franklin & Marshall, Tufts, Colby, Bowdoin, Wesleyan and Vassar.
“We're looking forward to the opportunity to compete against new teams in the tournament,” said Head Coach
Chip Fishback. “We've played Hamilton, but we haven't competed yet against some of the other teams in our division, and I'm excited for the opportunity to see how we will perform against them.”

Olivia Beckwith and first-year
Ginny McDermott lead the Herons with 12 wins each this season. Beckwith's 12-5 record includes a 6-3 mark at No. 5 and a 5-2 record at No. 6. McDermott is also 12-5, including an 8-5 mark at No. 7. Sophomore
Anne Habecker and senior
Else Ross are right behind them with 10 wins each this year. Habecker has played mostly at No. 4, and Ross has competed in the bottom half of the order.
William Smith carries a 10-7 overall record into its final weekend of competition. The Herons will play either Wesleyan or Vassar in their second match on Sunday, Feb. 19.
