The William Smith Squash team wrapped up the 2011 Walker Cup with a 5-4 win over nationally ranked No. 21 Colby yesterday in Princeton, N.J. The No. 23 Herons finished up their 2011 season with an 11-9 overall record.

Sophomore Anne Habecker led William Smith with a 3-1 win at No. 4, for her 11th victory this year. The Herons then picked up wins at Nos. 6-9. Sophomore Olivia Beckwith defeated her Colby opponent 3-1 win at No. 6 for her team-leading 15th win of the season. 

First-years Ginny McDermott, and Tyler Mitchell earned 3-0 wins at Nos. 7 and 9, respectively. McDermott wrapped up the year with a 14-6 mark, and Mitchell posted a 10-4 record. Senior Else Ross dropped her first two games at No. 8, 11-6 and 11-9, but rallied to win the last three 11-4, 11-7, and 11-7. Ross improved her season record to 11-9.
