ROCHESTER, N.Y.—The University of Rochester men's tennis team topped Hobart 8-1 in a match played this afternoon. The Statesmen are now 5-8 overall, and the Yellowjackets improve to 11-6.

Junior Kevin Bates picked up the lone win for Hobart at No. 5 singles. He earned his fifth win of the season, edging his Rochester opponent, 7-5, 6-3.

Hobart will be back on the courts on Sunday, April 10 when they travel to Canton, N.Y., to take on St. Lawrence at 3:30 p.m.
