GENEVA, N.Y.—The Hobart College tennis team blanked Ithaca 9-0 in a match played today on the indoor courts in Bristol Field House at the Caird Center for Sports and Recreation. The Statesmen have extended their win streak to six matches, improving their record to 14-3.

Michael Fields started things off for the Statesmen, cruising to an 8-1 victory at No. 1 doubles. Junior

Kevin Bates defeated their Bomber opponents 8-2 at No. 3, and junior
Alex James and senior
Matt Hursh earned an 8-3 triumph at No. 2.
DeLuccia posted his second win of the afternoon, downing his competition 6-1, 6-1 at No. 3. Fields logged a 6-3, 6-2 win at No. 5, and James secured a 6-1, 6-3 victory at No. 2. Senior
Walter Green defeated Justin Levine 6-1, 6-5 at No. 4, and Grant topped Jimmy Newton in a close match 6-2, 6-7 (14-12), 10-8 at the top spot. Hursh secured the sweep, cruising to a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 6.
The Statesmen will be back in action on Saturday, April 14 when they host Bard at 2 p.m.
