The William Smith squash team topped No. 27 St. Lawrence 6-3 in the CSA Team Championship semifinal this morning. With the win, the Herons earned a spot in the championship which will be played tomorrow, Feb. 17 at 12:30 p.m.
No. 26 William Smith (10-7) will take on No. 28 Virginia who topped No. 25 Boston College 6-3 in the other semifinal this morning. The Herons defeated Virginia back on Jan. 26, 7-2 in their first match of the 2013 Smith Tournament.
Today's win was the second of the season over the Saints. The Herons lost their first match to St. Lawrence 4-5 back on Nov. 17, but edged the Saints 5-4 on Jan. 25 at Smith.

Rachel Newman led William Smith with a 7-11, 11-6, 11-5, 2-11, 11-4 victory at the No. 1 spot. Sophomore

Courtney Leous posted and 11-7, 11-6, 4-11, 12-10 win at the No. 5 spot. First-year
Justine Shank cruised to an 11-7, 15-13, 11-4 win at No. 6, and sophomore
Molly Doran rallied for a 9-11, 11-2, 11-9, 11-9 victory at No. 8.
The championship match between William Smith and Virginia will be held at Yale tomorrow, Feb. 16, at 12:30 p.m. William Smith is seeking its fourth CSA Cup, having captured the 2006 and 2007 Walker Cup and the 2009 Epps Cup.
