The Hobart College tennis team dropped its match to Skidmore 8-1 this afternoon on the indoor courts at Bristol Field House. The Thoroughbreds are ranked No. 5 in the Northeast Region by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.

The Statesmen are now 3-7 overall. Senior Sam DeLuccia and sophomore Luke DeLuccia edged their opponents 9-8 at No. 3 doubles. Sophomore Michael Fields put up a strong fight at No. 3 singles. He won his first game 6-2, but fell 6-2, 10-5 in the next two.

Hobart will be back in action on April 4, when they play at Rochester at 4 p.m.
