Results

The Hobart College tennis team fell 9-0 to visiting Vassar in a match played this afternoon on the indoor courts in Bristol Field House. The Brewers are ranked No. 12 in the Northeast Region by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.

Vassar improves to 6-11 overall. The Statesmen fall to 3-12 and are ranked No. 20 in the Northeast Region.

Senior Sam DeLuccia and sophomore Luke DeLuccia put up a strong fight at No. 2 doubles, but were edged 9-7. Sophomore Michael Fields battled his Brewer opponent, Daniel Cooper, at No. 2. Fields lost 7-6 in the first set, but rallied for a 6-4 win in the second, however he fell 10-4 in the final set.

The Statesmen will be back in action tomorrow, April 14, when they host St. Lawrence at 2 p.m.
