The Hobart College tennis team lost its match to TCNJ 8-1 today in Ewing, N.J. The Lions are ranked No. 12 in the Northeast Region by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.

The Statesmen are ranked No. 19 in the region and are now 3-9 overall. TCNJ improves to 10-0.

Sophomore Michael Fields picked up the lone win for Hobart at No. 4 singles. He defeated Howard Telson 6-4, 3-6, 10-8. Fields is now 8-5 overall in singles play and 3-0 at No. 4. Senior Sam DeLuccia lost a hard fought match 3-6, 6-1, 10-6 at the No. 1 singles spot.

The Statesmen will be back in action tomorrow, April 7, when they play at NYU at 11 a.m.
