The Hobart College tennis team lost to New York University 9-0 in a match played this morning at the Violets' Stadium Tennis Center at Mill Pond.

NYU is ranked No. 13 in the Northeast Region by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association in the most recent rankings. The Statesmen are ranked No. 19 in the region. The Violets improve to 3-3, while Hobart is now 3-10.

Senior Sam DeLuccia and sophomore Luke DeLuccia put up a strong fight at No. 3 doubles but fell 8-6 to their NYU competitors.

Hobart will be back on the courts on Wednesday, April 10, when they travel to take on Hamilton at 4 p.m.
