The William Smith College squash team split a pair of matches in the Liberty League Round Robin hosted by Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, New York, this weekend. On Saturday, the Herons downed the Brewers 8-1. Today William Smith dropped its match 7-2 to St. Lawrence.

Against Vassar, the Herons picked up victories at Nos. 2-9. Sophomore
Allie Rubin notched an 11-9, 11-2, 11-5 win at No. 2 and senior
Andrea Tran posted an 11-6, 11-5, 7-11, 11-6 victory at No. 3. Sophomore
Delaney Teceno earned an 11-4, 11-9, 11-4 win at No. 4 and first-year
Michaelann Denton topped her opposition 11-7, 11-6, 11-6 at No. 5. At No. 6 sophomore
Brooke Hayes triumphed 11-2, 11-5, 11-3. Sophomore
Phoebe Carlisle cruised to an11-3, 11-5, 11-0 win at No. 7. First-year
Anna Worcester downed her competition 11-0, 11-2, 11-3 at No. 8 and senior
Molly Doran won 11-6, 11-3, 11-4 at the No. 9 spot.

In the match against the Saints, Teceno battled for an 11-8, 11-8, 7-11, 7-11, 11-9 victory at No. 5 and Doran won by default at No. 10 due to an injury suffered by her opponent (12-14, 2-1, won by default).

The Herons will be back in action on Saturday, Dec. 6, when they take on Dickinson and Colgate in Hamilton, New York.
