The Hobart College tennis team downed visiting Oneonta 9-0 in its first match of the 2014 portion of its schedule. The Statesmen improve to 3-1 overall, with their second win in 2013-14 over the Red Dragons.
The teams met back on Sept. 7 in the Flower City Invitational, and the Statesmen came out on top 8-1.

Ben Robinson posted an 8-4 victory at No. 3.
Rusk picked up his second in of the day, 6-0, 6-1 at No. 3 and Fields followed with a 6-0, 6-3 victory at the No. 2 spot. DePrima logged a 6-2, 6-0 triumph at No. 4 and Kot followed with a 6-1, 6-2 win at No. 5 to give Hobart a 7-0 lead. Shankman came from behind to notch a victory at the top spot (7-5, 4-6 1-0). Jake Criss secured the sweep with a 6-0, 6-1 win at the No. 6 spot.
The Statesmen will be back in action on March 5, when they host Lake Superior State at 7 p.m.
