The Hobart College tennis team earned two wins in Orlando, Fla., today. The Statesmen swept St. Michael's 9-0 this morning and then edged Hope 5-4 tonight. Hobart improved its overall record to 7-3.

In singles, first-year
Michael Rusk blanked his opponent 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1.
Carson Smith clinched the overall victory with a 6-0, 6-3 win at No. 3. Criss registered a 6-2, 6-1 win at the No. 2 spot and DeLuccia made it 7-0 with a 6-3, 6-2 triumph at No. 6. First-year
Danny Kot won 6-2, 7-6 (7-5) at No. 4 and classmate
Patrick Dunk breezed to a 6-3, 6-1 win at No. 5 for the sweep.
Tonight against Hope, the Statesmen trailed 2-1 after doubles. Rusk and Kot teamed up for a win at the No. 2 spot.
Carson Smith and Rusk each earned singles wins to tie the match up at 4-4. Fields secured the overall win for Hobart, battling for a three-set victory.
The Statesmen will be back in action tomorrow, March 20, when they take on Grinnell at 8:30 a.m.
