ResultsThe Hobart College tennis team came out on top of a close match at RIT today, topping the Tigers 5-4 to improve to 10-8 overall. RIT falls to 2-10 this season.
With the match tied at 4-4, it came down to the first singles match between junior
Michael Fields and RIT's Chandler Daub. Both men battled hard, with Daub coming out on top 6-3 in the opening set and Fields took the second set, 7-5. In the third and decisive set, Fields would emerge victorious, winning 6-4.

Matt DePrima rallied from being down 7-6 to win 9-7 at the top spot and first-years
Danny Kot and
Michael Rusk came out on top 8-6 at No. 2.

Jake Criss won in straight sets at No. 2 singles (6-2, 6-1), but the Tigers posted a win at No. 6 to make it 3-2. First-year
Patrick Dunk registered a 7-5, 6-1 victory at No. 4 and RIT logged wins at Nos. 2 and 5, knotting the match up at 4-4.
The Statesmen will be back in action on Saturday, April 19, when they travel to play at Bard at 1 p.m.
