The Hobart College tennis team dropped a Liberty League Tournament semifinal 5-0 to top-ranked Skidmore this morning on the indoor courts at the University of Rochester. The fourth seeded Statesmen completed the season with a 13-10 overall record.

The Thoroughbreds, who are ranked No. 20 in the nation and No. 5 in the Northeast Region by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association, are now 12-7. Skidmore advances to the championship where it will take on the winner of the other semifinal between No. 2 Rensselaer and No. 3 Vassar, which will be played this afternoon.

The Thoroughbreds swept doubles play to take a 3-0 lead. Skidmore then secured the victory with wins at Nos. 1 and 2 singles.

It was the final match for Hobart's two seniors, Ben Robinson and Nicholas Schoning. The pair has helped Hobart to 46 victories in their four years.
