Four members of the William Smith College golf team earned a place on the 2013-14 Liberty League All-Academic Team. The Herons tied for the most all-academic selections in the conference.
 
To be eligible for All-Academic honors, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.2. The following Herons secured a spot on the team:
 

• Kara Capstraw, Jr., Architectural Studies
• Maddie Carens, Jr., Sociology
• Grace Fiacre, Jr., Art History
• Brynna Trumpetto, Sr., International Relations

 
All four golfers received all-academic recognition last season as well.
 
William Smith just completed its 10th varsity season. The Herons improved their average team score to 395.9, 6.4 strokes better than the 2012-13 season and 13.9 strokes better than 2011-12. This season, William Smith produced its best finish with a second place effort on its home course in the William Smith Invitational.
