The William Smith College squash team picked up 9-0 wins over Rochester and Colgate this afternoon in the Smith Squash Center. The Herons improve to 12-4 this season.

This morning, William Smith downed the Yellowjackets with 3-0 wins at Nos. 1-9. Sophomore
Allie Rubin posted an 11-5, 11-1, 11-1 win at the top spot. First-year
Michaelann Denton topped her competitor 11-4, 11-0, 11-0 at No. 2 and sophomore
Delaney Teceno won 11-2, 11-0, 11-3 at No. 3. Sophomore
Brooke Hayes earned an 11-0, 11-3, 11-0 victory at No. 4 and
Justine Shank downed her opposition 11-1, 11-2, 11-2 at No. 5. At No. 6 senior
Molly Doran registered an 11-1, 11-3, 11-4 win and at No. 7 junior
Erin Casey produced an 11-3, 11-2, 11-0 victory. First-year
Peyton Capute triumphed 11-1, 11-1, 11-1 at No. 8 and junior
Katie Hill logged an 11-5, 11-5, 11-8 win at No. 9.

This afternoon, the Herons posted 3-0 wins at Nos. 1-8 and won by forfeit at No. 9. Rubin cruised to an 11-1, 11-1, 11-0 win at the top spot. Denton came out on top 11-2, 11-4, 11-3 at No. 2 and at No. 3 senior
Andrea Tran won 11-4, 11-4, 11-5 at No. 3. Teceno posted an 11-1, 11-3, 11-2 victory at the No. 4 spot. At No. 5, Hayes blanked her competitor 11-0, 11-0, 11-0 and at No. 6 Shank recorded an 11-1, 11-2, 11-1 win. Doran was victorious 11-0, 11-3, 11-3 at No. 7 and Casey won 11-2, 11-0, 11-3Â at No. 8. Seniors Tran and Doran were playing the final home matches of their Heron squash careers today.

The Herons will be back in action  on Sunday, Feb. 8, when they travel to take on Cornell at 4 p.m. for their final match of the regular season.
