ITHACA, N.Y. – The Hobart College tennis team notched a 5-4 victory over Ithaca College in Ithaca, New York, this evening. With the win, the Statesmen improve to 8-1 this season while the Bombers fall to 4-4-1.

In singles play, the Bombers won at No. 1 and No. 3 to take a 3-2 lead. Hobart won the next three matches to clinch the game for the Statesmen. At. No. 2, Fields defeated Lorenzo Viguie-Ramos, 7-6 (7-5), 6-2. DePrima collected his second win of the day in the No. 6 spot defeating Brandon Buksbaum 6-0, 6-1. First-year
Miles Singer won 6-3, 6-0 to clinch the match in the No. 5 spot.
Hobart will be back in action on Saturday when they travel to take on The College of New Jersey. The match in Ewing, New Jersey, is slated to start at noon.Â
