GENEVA, N.Y. – Vassar College men's tennis team rallied past Hobart in singles play to claim a 6-3 victory at the HWS Tennis Center this afternoon. With the win, the Brewers improve to 9-9 on the season and 5-2 in Liberty League play while the Statesmen fall to 10-8 overall and 4-3 in conference play.
Hobart jumped out to a 2-1 lead at the conclusion of doubles play. Sophomores

Michael Rusk notched an 8-3 win at No. 2 doubles, defeating Evan Udine and Christian Phelps. At. No. 3, senior
Luke DeLuccia and first-year
Harry Nichols rallied to beat Juan Felipe Laso and Alexander Luckmann, 8-5.
Vassar won five of the six singles matches to take the overall team victory. Hobart first-year
Miles Singer collected the Statesmen's lone victory. He collected a 6-4, 6-3 victory at No. 4 singles. Nichols and Vassar's Laso battled at No.5, but Laso took the match in a supertiebreak, 4-6, 6-4, 10-7.
Today's match was the regular season finale for both teams. Hobart will be back on the court next Saturday, May 2, when it competes in the Liberty League Tournament in Ithaca, New York.Â
