The William Smith College squash team earned two victories today in the Pioneer Valley Round Robin. The Herons defeated Connecticut College 8-1 this morning and topped Haverford 7-2 this afternoon to improve to 10-1 overall.

Cashel McCarthy won at the top spot, 5-11, 11-5, 11-9, 11-6. Classmate
Michaelann Denton topped her opponent 12-10, 12-10, 11-3 at No. 2. Sophomore
Peyton Capute rallied to win 5-11, 9-11, 11-7, 11-8, 11-3 at No. 4. Junior
Brooke Hayes notched an 11-6, 11-5, 11-8 win at the No. 5 spot and Junior
Delaney Teceno earned an 11-4, 11-9, 9-11, 11-6 victory at No. 6 and sophomore
Anna Worcester triumphed 12-10, 6-11, 11-5, 11-6 at No. 7. Senior
Justine Shank won 11-5, 11-5, 11-2 at No. 8, and first-year
Stacy Avigail Maceda registered an 11-7, 11-6, 5-11, 11-7 win at the No. 9 spot.

In the Herons' afternoon match against the Fords, first-year
Madison Bradley picked up an 11-4, 10-12, 11-6, 11-9 triumph at No. 2 and Capute earned her second win of the day 11-5, 9-11, 11-6, 11-4 at the No. 3 spot. Teceno downed her opponent 11-4, 11-2, 11-4 at No. 5 and Worcester recorded an 11-8, 11-5, 11-7 victory at No. 6. Shank cruised to an 11-3, 11-3, 11-4 win at No. 7 and Maceda triumphed 11-5, 11-7, 11-6 at No. 8. At the No. 9 spot first-year
Hattye Hytla won 11-4, 11-4, 11-6.

The Herons will wrap up the Pioneer Valley Round Robin with matches against Colby and Smith tomorrow in Northampton, Mass., at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m., respectively.
