The William Smith College squash team split its final two matches of the 2016 Pioneer Valley Round Robin today. The Herons fell to Colby College 9-0 in their first match, and downed Smith 9-0 in their second match of the day.

Michaelann Denton picked up an 11-5, 11-4, 11-3 victory at No. 2. At No. 3, first-year
Madison Bradley downed her opponent 11-1, 11-1, 11-1 and at No. 4, sophomore
Peyton Capute earned an 11-5, 11-3, 11-3 victory. At the No. 5 spot, junior
Brooke Hayes dominated (11-0, 11-0, 11-2) and classmate
Delaney Teceno shutout her opponent at No. 6 (11-0, 11-0, 11-0). Sophomore
Anna Worcester cruised to an 11-3, 11-0, 11-1 win at No. 7 and senior
Justine Shank registered a 11-3, 11-2, 11-2 victory at No. 8. First-year
Hattye Hytla posted an 11-0, 11-2, 11-4 triumph at No. 9.

The Herons will be back in action on Jan. 22, when they take on Mount Holyoke and Smith at 6 p.m. and 7:30 respectively.
