The William Smith College lacrosse team will host Bard and Vassar in its final weekend of regular season play. The Herons sit in first place in the Liberty League and enter the weekend with a 6-1 conference record and a 7-7 overall mark.

William Smith will face Bard (4-10, 0-7) on Friday at 4 p.m. and then host Vassar (6-7, 2-5) on Saturday at 3 p.m. on Boswell Field. The Herons have secured a spot in the four-team conference tournament, but they could still be any one of the four seeds. William Smith controls its destiny. If the Herons win both of their games this weekend, regardless of what happens elsewhere in the league, they will be the No. 1 seed.

The Herons are riding a three-game win streak. Senior
Hannah Connolly leads the team with 25 goals, 10 assists, and 35 points. Senior
Geneva Calder has won a team-high 24 draws, and sophomore
Kelsi Carr leads William Smith with 17 caused turnovers. Junior goalie
Sarah Honan has played the majority of minutes. She's sporting a 7.27 goals against average, a .492 save percentage and a 7-7 record. Honan has scooped up a team-high 29 ground balls.

Bard is coming off a loss at RIT last Saturday. Nicole Ellin leads the Raptors with 25 goals, 31 points, and 44 draws. Alexandra Clarke has picked up a team-high 40 ground balls and handed out seven assists, and Carla Sanchez leads the team with 20 caused turnovers. Kaylynn Tran has played every minute in goal. She has a 13.57 goals against average and a .360 save percentage.

Vassar will play at Union on Friday afternoon, before coming to Geneva. Heading into the weekend, Isabelle Goldstein leads the Brewers with 30 goals, 24 assists, 54 points, 24 ground balls and 19 caused turnovers. Julia Trudell has won a team-high 27 draws. Kristin Caolo has played the most minutes in goal. She has registered an 11.35 goals against average, a .410 save percentage and a 4-7 record.
