The William Smith College soccer team remained at No. 1 in the D3soccer.com poll and No. 2 in the NSCAA poll this week. The Herons are 7-0-0 this season.

William Smith will open Liberty League play, hosting St. Lawrence on Saturday, Sept. 24 on Cozzens Field at 3 p.m. The Herons rank fourth in the nation in assists (25), fifth in points (83), and seventh in goals (29). In addition, William Smith is also 12th in Division III in scoring offense, entering the weekend outscoring its opponents 29-4.

Kara Shue, the current Liberty League Offensive Performer of the Week, leads the team with 17 points on seven goals and three assists. All three Heron goalkeepers have seen time in goal this season. Sophomore
Veronica Romines has played the majority of minutes. She's sporting a 0.30 goals against average and a .750 save percentage.

St. Lawrence brings a 4-0-2 record to Geneva. The Saints won their first four games of the season, and are coming off back-to-back 1-1 draws with Nazareth and Oswego. Kaleigh White leads the team with nine points on three goals and three assists. Jackie Sovie and Amanda Allen have both played in goal and both have a 2-0-1 record. Sovie has played the most minutes. She has a 0.00 goals against average and a 1.000 save percentage.
