Herons tripped up at Wesleyan

The No. 20 William Smith College squash team suffered its first loss of the season tonight, falling to No. 21 Wesleyan 9-0 in the Cardinals' round robin tonight in Middletown, Conn.
 
The Herons are now 5-1 overall, while Wesleyan improves to 1-1 this season.
 
The Cardinals won 3-0 at Nos. 1 and 2 and 4-8. Wesleyan won by forfeit at No. 9. At the No. 3 spot, Heron first-year Jo Pacheco forced four games. She dropped her first 11-6, but won the second 11-4. Pacheco fell in the last two 11-9 and 11-5.
 
The Herons are back in action tomorrow, Dec. 2, when they face No. 24 Colby at 9:30 a.m. and No. 19 Tufts at 11 a.m.
