The William Smith College squash team will compete in the College Squash Association Walker Cup in Princeton, N.J., this weekend. After competing in the D Division for five years, the Herons moved up to the C Division for the first time since 2011.

William Smith is ranked No. 22 in the most recent College Squash Association rankings and will face No. 19 Bowdoin in its first round match on Friday, Feb. 24 at 10 a.m. at Princeton. The Walker Cup also features No. 17 Franklin & Marshall, No. 18 Amherst, No. 20 Dickinson, No. 21 Tufts, No. 23 St. Lawrence and No. 24 Wesleyan.

The winner of the Herons vs. Polar Bears match will take on the winner of St. Lawrence vs. Amherst in the semifinals, which will be played at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 25. The non-advancing teams will go into a consolation bracket. The Walker Cup Championships match will be played on Sunday, Feb. 26 at 10:30 a.m
