The William Smith College squash team upset Bowdoin College 5-4 to advance to the Walker Cup semifinals in the College Squash Association Team Championships hosted by Princeton University. The Herons improve to 14-6 this season.

William Smith, the No. 6 seed in the bracket and No. 22 team in the nation according to the most recent CSA rankings, moved up the compete in the C Division for the first time in five years. The Polar Bears are now 7-11 this season.

Gabby Fraser led the Herons with an 11-4, 7-11, 11-9, 11-7 win at the top spot. Senior
Delaney Teceno registered an 11-8, 11-3, 11-2 victory at No. 6 and sophomore
Madison Bradley posted an 11-2, 11-4, 10-12, 11-1 win at the No. 7 spot. Senior
Brooke Hayes earned an 11-5, 11-7, 11-3 win at No. 8 and the Herons picked up at win by default at No. 9.

William Smith moves on to play the winner of the St. Lawrence vs. Amherst first round match being played at noon today. The Herons' semifinal match ill be played tomorrow, Feb. 25 at 9 a.m.
