The No. 17/11 William Smith College lacrosse team will host Buffalo State for a non-league game on Saturday, March 25, at 1 p.m. on Boswell Field. The Herons bring a 5-1 overall record into the contest.

William Smith is coming off a 6-5 double overtime victory over No. 14/5 St. John Fisher on Tuesday. Junior
Melissa Moore led the Herons with four goals in the win, including the game winner 36 seconds into the second overtime. The Herons rank 17th in the nation in save percentage (.584) and 23rd in scoring defense (5.33).

Sarah Honan is sporting a 5.24 goals against average, a .584 save percentage and a 5-1 record. She has also scooped up a team-high 14 ground balls. Honan lead the Liberty League and ranks 18th in the nation in save percentage. She also ranks 20th in Division III in goals against average.

Buffalo State is 2-3 this season. Alanna Herne leads the team with 32 points on 12 goals and 20 assists. Christina Krowel has posted a team-high 16 goals. Cassie Saint-Vil leads the way with 17 ground balls and 23 draws. Haley Kempf has notched a team-high seven caused turnovers. Elyse Stark has played the most minutes in goal. She's sporting an 8.48 goals against average, a .525 save percentage and a 2-2 record.
