The No. 9/3 William Smith College lacrosse team will host two Liberty League games on Boswell Field this weekend. The Herons will face Rensselaer on Friday, April 14 at 4 p.m., and then take on Skidmore on Saturday, April 15 at 3 p.m.

William Smith (10-1, 3-0 Liberty) is off to its best start since it went 11-0 to start 2008. The Herons are riding a seven-game win streak. William Smith ranks fifth in the nation in win percentage (.909), seventh in scoring defense (4.91) and ninth in save percentage (.571).

Senior
Alexandra Bird leads the Herons with 32 points on 23 goals and nine assists. Junior
Melissa Moore has handed out a team-high 10 assists and added 18 goals for 28 points. Sophomore Bizzer Gahangan has won a team-high 32 draws and classmate
Laura Rollins leads the way with 17 caused turnovers and shares a team-high with 27 ground balls. Senior goalie
Sarah Honan has also picked up 27 ground balls this year. She ranks fourth in Division III with a 4.89 goals against average and is 11th with a .571 save percentage.

Rensselaer brings a 4-6 overall record and a 2-2 conference mark to Geneva. The Engineers are coming off a 10-9 double overtime victory over Clarkson on Saturday. Sophie Hager leads the team with 30 points on 22 goals and eight assists. Abbey Salvon has won a team-high 24 draws, while Becca DeRosa and Laurel Dean lead the way with eight caused turnovers each. Aleena Milinski has played the majority of minutes in goal. She's sporting a 9.07 GAA, a .475 save percentage and a 4-6 record. She has also picked up a team-high 27 ground balls.

Skidmore (7-4, 3-1) will play at Union on Friday afternoon before coming to Boswell Field on Saturday. Heading into the weekend, Cas Szwajkowski leads the team with 47 points on 44 goals and three assists. Natalie LaBeau has dished out a team-high 15 assists with 12 goals for 27 points. Rachel Talanian leads Skidmore with 28 draws, 28 caused turnovers and 51 ground balls. Megan Kolopsky has played the most minutes in goal. She has a 9.11 GAA, a .464 save percentage and a 6-3 record.
