GENEVA, N.Y.-The Hobart College tennis team rolled to a 9-0 win over Rochester Institute of Technology in a Liberty League match contested in Bristol Field House this afternoon. The Statesmen, who are ranked 15th in the latest Oracle/ITA Northeast Regional Rankings, won their third straight match to improve to 9-4 on the year and 2-1 in conference play.

Hobart cruised through doubles play to take an early 3-0 lead. Sophomore

Alan Dubrovsky improved to 5-3 as a doubles team with an 8-3 win over Chandler Daub and Ben Lynaugh at No. 1. Salita and Dubrovsky have played all eight matches in the top spot. At No. 2, the senior duo of
Danny Kot and
Michael Rusk defeated Jared Ingoglia and Patrick Matthews 8-1. Kot and Rusk are 4-3 as a doubles team in their senior campaign. Junior
Harry Nichols and sophomore
Jonathan Atwater won 8-4 at No. 3 doubles. Nichols and Atwater are a team best 6-5 in doubles play this year.

The Statesmen won five of their six singles points in straight sets. Atwater and Dubrovsky won their 15th match of the year at No. 1 and No. 2, respectively. Atwater lost only one game as he topped Ingoglia 6-0, 6-1 to improve to 15-5 on the year. Dubrovsky bested Ben Lynaugh 6-4, 6-0 and is now 15-4 in his rookie campaign.Â

Hobart continues its busy week on Friday when it hosts Oneonta at the HWS Tennis Center. The Statesmen will then play a pair of Liberty League games against Union and Bard on Saturday.
