The William Smith College squash team will compete in the 2018 Liberty League Championships this weekend, Jan. 27 and 28, hosted by Vassar College and Bard College.

It's the first Liberty League squash event since the 2009-10 season. The Herons will take on the Brewers on Saturday, Jan. 27 in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., at 1 p.m. There will be live scoring for the match through the Vassar athletics website. On Sunday, Jan. 28, William Smith will start the day taking on Bard at 10:30 a.m., and will then face St. Lawrence at noon. Both matches will be played at Bard.

The Herons are 5-5 this season. William Smith is ranked No. 23 in the nation in the latest College Squash Association rankings. Sophomore
Gabby Fraser leads the team with seven victories. She is 7-3 at the No. 1 spot. Sophomore

Vassar is ranked No. 28. The Brewers are 10-2 this season. Emma Glickman and Kelly Rissman each have a team-high 10 wins. Glickman has played at Nos. 3-5 and No. 7, while Rissman has seen action at Nos. 4-6 and No. 8.

Bard is No. 34 in the CSA rankings. The Raptors are 2-7 overall. St. Lawrence brings a 5-6 overall record into the weekend. The Saints are No. 21 in the nation.
