The No. 26 William Smith College squash team earned a spot in the Epps Cup championship match with a 6-3 victory over No. 27 Connecticut College today in at Harvard.

With their fifth straight win, the Herons improved to 12-7 this season. William Smith will face No. 25 Bowdoin for the championship tomorrow, Feb. 18, at Harvard at 2 p.m.

Against the Camels, the Herons earned wins at Nos. 1-3 and at the No. 5,7, and 8 spots. Sophomore
Gabby Fraser led William Smith with a 11-5, 11-5, 11-1 victory at No. 2. Senior
Cashel McCarthy produced an 11-7, 11-9, 11-3 win at No. 2, and first-year
Jo Pacheco won 11-8, 11-9, 11-7 at the No. 3 spot.

Madison Bradley won in four games (13-11, 9-11, 11-8, 11-4). Sophomore Djeneba Ballo battled her Connecticut College opponent for a five-game win (7-11, 11-8, 11-13, 11-7, 11-3) at No. 7. Sophomore
Karina Lazaro rallied for a 3-11, 11-8, 11-13, 11-7, 11-3 victory at the No. 8 spot.

The Herons will look to win their fifth CSA Championship titles tomorrow. William Smith won the Walker Cup in 2006 and 2007 and the Epps Cup in 2009 and 2013.
