The Hobart College squash team will travel to Connecticut this weekend for the 2018 College Squash Association Team Championships. Ranked 25th in the nation, the Statesmen will compete for the Conroy Cup.

The top seed in the Conroy Cup, Hobart brings an 11-8 overall record into the weekend. The Statesmen will open the tournament against No. 32 Stanford on Friday, Feb. 22, at noon. This will be the second matchup between the Statesmen and the Cardinal this season. Hobart won 8-1 on Jan. 1 in Palo Alto, Calif.

In the second round, The Statesmen will face either No. 28 Tufts or No. 29 Connecticut College. The winners of Friday's matches will meet in the semifinals on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. while the other two teams will meet in the consolation draw at 9 a.m.

The first two rounds of the main draw and the entire consolation draw will take place at Wesleyan in Middletown, Conn., while the championship match will take place at Trinity in Hartford, Conn., on Sunday at 11:30 a.m.

The other half of the bracket includes No. 26 Bowdoin, No. 27 Hamilton, No. 30 Haverford and No. 31 Wesleyan. Including the match against Stanford, the Statesmen are 4-0 against the Conroy Cup Field. Hobart beat Bowdoin 5-4 on Dec. 2 in Clinton, N.Y., and bested Tufts 5-4 in Palo Alto on Jan. 10. The Statesmen closed out the regular season with a 7-2 win over Hamilton.

Terrance Rose each have 10 wins on the season. Khan is 10-7 while Rose is 10-8. Junior
Josh Oakley is 9-6 on the year, playing all 15 matches at No. 1.

Hobart last won the Conroy Cup in 2012,
Tim Riskie's first season as head coach. The Statesmen also won the Cup in 2007. Hobart has reached the championship match in the Conroy Cup six times. The Statesmen were edged by Wesleyan 5-4 in last year's championship match.
