Herons tripped up by Continentals

The No. 27 William Smith College squash team was tripped up 8-1 at No. 21 Hamilton in the Continentals' Little Squash Center in Clinton, N.Y., tonight.
 
The Herons are now 7-7 overall, and Hamilton improves to 8-9 this season. Sophomore Gabby Fraser recorded the lone victory for William Smith at the top spot. She defeated her Continental opponent 11-1, 11-7, 11-2. Fraser improves to 11-3 at No. 1 this year. Senior Cashel McCarthy, first-year Jo Pacheco and junior Madison Bradley battled with their Hamilton opposition at Nos. 2, 3 and 5 respectively, but each fell in five games.
 
William Smith is back in action on Saturday, Feb. 10, when it hosts Rochester, Mount Holyoke and Colgate to round out the regular season. The Herons face the Yellowjackets at 10 a.m., the Lyons at 1 p.m., and the Raiders at 4 p.m.
