The No. 16 William Smith College lacrosse team will travel to play a non-conference game at Buffalo State on Saturday, March 31, at 1 p.m.
 
The Herons bring a 6-3 overall record into Saturday's contest. William Smith is riding a three-game win streak, most recently, defeating RIT 14-9 on Boswell Field on Wednesday. The Herons rank 13th in the nation in scoring defense (6.25).

First-year Mekayla Montgomery has a team-high 14 caused turnovers and 22 draws. First-year Jules Kennedy has played the most minutes in goal this season. She is sporting a 6.37 goals against average, a .515 save percentage and a 3-1 record.
 
The Bengals bring a 4-3 overall record into Saturday's game. Buffalo State is looking to rebound from a 14-6 loss to Messiah on Tuesday. Christina Krowel leads the team with 35 points on 31 goals and four assists. Kendall Skuse has a team-high 16 ground balls and 11 caused turnovers. Jackie Dufresne leads the way with 42 draw controls. Elyse Stark has played every minute in goal. She has an 8.86 goals against average, a .470 save percentage and a 4-3 record.
