The game time for the No. 20 William Smith College lacrosse team's game vs. Vassar College on Saturday, April 14 has been moved up to noon on Boswell Field due to the weather forecast. The Liberty League game was originally scheduled for 1 p.m.
 
The Herons are 9-4 overall and 6-1 in the Liberty League after picking up a 9-8 win at No. 14 Ithaca on Wednesday night. Senior Melissa Moore leads William Smith with 40 points on 29 goals and 11 assists. She also has a team-high 28 ground balls. First-year Mekayla Montgomery leads the way with 18 caused turnovers and 36 draws. First-year Jules Kennedy has played the most minutes in goal. She ranks second in the Liberty League with a 6.83 goals against average and is tied for fourth in the league with a .521 save percentage. Kennedy is 6-2 in goal this season.
 
Vassar brings a 3-7 overall record and a 2-3 mark in the Liberty League into Saturday's game. The Brewers are coming off a 13-8 loss to Skidmore on Wednesday. Fiona MacLeod has a team-high 33 points on 17 goals and 16 assists. Storm Sideleau is right behind her with 32 points on 26 goals and six assists. Sydney Nemphos leads the way with 27 ground balls and 20 caused turnovers. Tessa Waters has a team-high 32 draws. Emily Chancey has played every minute in goal, and is sporting a 13.20 goals against average, a .445 save percentage and a 3-7 record.
 
Saturday's game marks the 18th meeting between William Smith and Vassar in a series that began in 2001. The Herons hold a 15-2 advantage and have a 9-0 record when playing the Brewers on Boswell Field.
