The No. 15 William Smith College lacrosse team will play two Liberty League games this weekend. The Herons travel to Potsdam, N.Y., to take on Clarkson on Friday, April 6 at 4 p.m., and then head to Canton to face St. Lawrence on Saturday, April 7 at 3 p.m.

The Herons are riding a four-game win streak and bring a 7-3 overall record and a 4-0 mark in league play into the weekend. Friday's game marks the 18th meeting between William Smith and Clarkson in a series that dates back to 2001. The Herons hold a 16-1 advantage.

Clarkson brings an 8-2 overall record and 2-1 mark in the Liberty League into Friday's game. The Golden Knights are riding a five-game win streak. Jaid Bayots leads Clarkson with 29 goals, eight assists and 37 points. She also has a team-high 46 draws. Taylor Collins leads the way with 22 ground balls and 18 caused turnovers. Samantha Gladd has played the most minutes in goal. She has a 7.60 goals against average, a .475 save percentage and an 8-2 record.

Saturday's contest will be the 48th meeting between William Smith and St. Lawrence. The Herons hold a 32-15 advantage in a series that began in 1977. William Smith has won the last five meetings in a row. The Herons are 11-6 when playing the Saints in Canton.

St. Lawrence hosts No. 16 Ithaca on Friday before facing William Smith. The Saints are 3-5 this season and 1-2 in conference play. Kayla Schmalz enters the weekend with a team-high 15 goals, nine assists and 24 points. She has also won a team-high 36 draws. Jacqueline leads the Saints with 25 ground balls and 12 caused turnovers. Olga Lukas has played the most minutes in goal. She is sporting a 9.39 goals against average, a .415 save percentage and a 2-3 record.
