The No. 16 William Smith College lacrosse team will take on Endicott in the NCAA tournament first round on Saturday, May 12, at TCNJ in Ewing, N.J. The game time is set for 1 p.m.

The winner of Saturday's game will advance to the second round where they will meet the hosts, No. 1 TCNJ on Sunday, May 13 at 1 p.m. Both of the weekend's games will be played at Lions' Stadium. Tickets are $6 for adults, $3 for senior citizens and students with valid ID and $2 for children ages 3-12.

The Herons are making their third straight and 19th overall NCAA tournament appearance. William Smith is 14-4 and earned an automatic bid to the tournament after winning the Liberty League title for the third straight year. The Herons are riding a seven-game win streak. William Smith ranks 10th in the nation in scoring defense (6.33).

Melissa Moore leads William Smith with 42 goals, 23 assists, 65 points and 41 ground balls. Moore is second on the team with 27 caused turnovers and 33 draws. First-year
Mekayla Montgomery has a team-high 28 caused turnovers and 61 draws. First-year
Jules Kennedy has played the most minutes in goal. She ranks ninth in the nation with a 6.47 goals against average and is 26th in Division III with a .521 save percentage. Kennedy is 11-2 in goal this year.

Endicott brings a 14-3 overall record into the tournament. The Gulls earned an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament after winning the Commonwealth Coast Conference championship. It's Endicott's second straight and 11th overall NCAA tournament appearance.

Jennifer Lacriox leads the team with 68 goals and 84 points. She ranks second with 68 draws. Gabriella Prisco has a team-high 27 caused turnovers, 79 draws and 61 ground balls. Alex Fitzgerald has dished out a team-high 24 assists. Bella Rino has played the most minutes in goal. She has a 6.40 goals against average, a .574 save percentage and a 14-2 record.

This will be the first meeting between William Smith and Endicott in women's lacrosse.
