Box Score ROME, Ga. —-Hobart College senior Alan Dubrovsky and junior Walker Anderson concluded their fall seasons at the 2019 ITA Cup at the Rome Tennis Center at Berry College this weekend.
 
Dubrovsky and Anderson earned a spot in the ITA Cup doubles draw after winning the semifinals in the doubles draw in the ITA Northeast Regional. They drew No. 10 seed Antonio Mora and William Wanner from Emory in the first round. Mora and Wanner won the first set 6-3. In the second set, Dubrovsky and Anderson were up 5-4, but the Eagles came back, and won the set 7-5, to clinch the match.
 
In the consolation draw, Dubrovsky and Anderson faced Whitman's Daniel Foster and Ben Kirsh. Dubrovsky and Anderson fell 6-4, 6-3, in a tightly contested match. Dubrovsky and Anderson went on to face Gustavus Adolphus' Daniel Fouchier and Michael O'Neil. Dubrovsky and Anderson won the first set 6-3. In the second set, the Statesmen were up 3-0, but the Gusties won the next six games to take the set 6-3. After a double fault in the tiebreaker, the Statesmen were up 7-6. Dubrovsky and Anderson earned two more points, and at 9-7, Anderson hit a great return and forced a volley error to take the set 1-0 (10,7) and clinch the match.
 
Hobart has now completed the fall portion of its schedule. The Statesmen will return to the courts Feb. 29, 2020 when they travel to Oberlin.
