GENEVA, N.Y.—Hobart College will host St. Lawrence University on Saturday, Nov. 2 in the 91st gridiron clash between the two Liberty League rivals. Kickoff on Boswell Field at David J Urick Stadium is set for noon.

Hobart is 5-2 overall and 1-2 in conference play. The Statesmen were off last week and look to rebound from a 34-0 loss at then No. 9 Ithaca on Oct. 19. It was the first time Hobart had been shut out in 184 games dating back to September of 2000.
The Statesmen defense is limiting opponents to 19.3 points per game and 346.3 yards per game. Hobart ranks 21st in the nation in both tackles for loss (8.4/g) and interceptions (12). Junior linebacker
Emmett Forde leads the charge with 56 tackles, 15.5 tackles for loss, 4.0 sacks and two interceptions. Senior linebacker

Brian Haeffner has rushed for a team-high 293 yards and two touchdowns. He rushed for a career-high 200 yards and three touchdowns in last season's 42-31 win at St. Lawrence.
St. Lawrence is 3-4 overall and 1-2 in league play. The Saints beat Rensselaer 35-21 in Canton last week. Sophomore quarterback Tyler Grochot threw five touchdowns against the Engineers, including four to junior wide receiver Joseph Viscardo.
SLU's offense is eighth in the nation in passing, averaging 331.6 yards per game. Grochot is third in Division III in completions per game (26.0) and 11th in passing yards per game (318.3). He's completed 56 percent of his passes for 2,228 yards and 18 TDs. Viscardo has a team-high 46 receptions for 631 yards and a team-high 11 TDs. The Saints average 61.9 yards per game rushing. Sophomore Jamie Battaglia accounts for most of the team's yards on the ground, netting 398 yards and three TDs.
St. Lawrence's defense yields 30.0 points per game and 375.4 yards per game. Junior linebacker Liam Murphy has a team-high 65 tackles. Junior linebacker Ethan Roberts adds 51 tackles, a team-high 13 tackles for loss and a league-leading 7.5 sacks.
The Statesmen hold the upper hand in the series 52-36-2, including at 28-19-1 advantage in Geneva. Hobart has won each of the past eight meetings with the Saints and 26 of the past 27 showdowns.
