ITHACA, N.Y.—The William Smith College squash team lost 9-0 to Cornell this evening. The Herons fall to 4-1 overall this season.
 
Lily Zelov defeated senior Gabby Fraser 11-2, 11-7, 11-6 at No. 1. Junior Jo Pacheco fell 11-6, 11-3, 11-7 to Madison Miles at No. 2. First-year Talia Welker lost 11-4, 11-2, 11-1 to Alexis Shatzman at No. 3. Senior Djeneba Ballo was defeated by Mckenna Stoltz 11-1, 11-4, 11-1 in the No. 4 spot. In the No. 5 spot, sophomore Molly Wachter fell to Mia Krishnamurthy 11-5, 11-3, 11-3. First-year Erin Griffis was downed 11-2, 11-0, 11-0 by Ania Ladow at No. 6. In the No. 7 sport, first-year Maia Dreishpoon lost to Samira Chatrathi 11-3, 11-1, 11-3. Adinah Scherl topped sophomore Gretchen Vietor 11-4, 11-4, 11-4 at No. 8. First-year Aye Bah lost 11-2, 11-3, 11-0 to Sydney Bednar in the No. 9 spot
 
William Smith will be back in action Saturday, Dec. 7, when it travels to Middletown, Conn., for the 2019 Wesleyan Round Robin. The Herons will face Bard in their first match at 3 p.m.
