The 14th-ranked William Smith College lacrosse team will conclude the 2019 regular season when it heads to Skidmore Saturday, April 27. Opening draw in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., is scheduled for 4 p.m.

William Smith brings a 14-2 overall record and a 9-0 mark in Liberty League play into the game. The Herons clinched the Liberty League's regular season title last Saturday with a 13-0 victory over Rochester. The Herons rank 11th in the nation in scoring defense (6.50) and 13th in winning percentage (.875).

William Smith is led offensively by sophomore
Ellie Burns, who has 47 goals and eight assists for 55 points. She has also grabbed 23 ground balls and caused 10 turnovers. Fellow sophomore
Anna Murphy is second on the team with 22 goals and 34 points. Three other Herons have scored 20-plus goals so far this season. Junior
Rachel Slagle leads the team with 22 assists. Defensively, William Smith is led by sophomore
Mekayla Montgomery. She has won a team best 77 draws, brought in 50 ground balls, and has 37 caused turnovers. Sophomore
Ellen Arena is right behind her with 44 ground balls and 27 caused turnovers.

Olivia Hofmann and
Jules Kennedy have split time in goal this season. Hofmann is 8-0 with a 5.66 goals against average and a .568 save percentage. She leads the Liberty League in GAA and save percentage. Kennedy is 6-2 with a 7.59 GAA and a .465 save percentage. She is second in the Liberty League in GAA and fifth in save percentage.

Skidmore brings an 11-4 overall record and a 7-2 mark in conference play into the regular season finale. The Thoroughbreds are coming off a 17-6 win at St. Lawrence Saturday. Skidmore, which is second in the conference in scoring offense, is led by Cas Szwajkowski's 83 points on 76 goals and seven assists. She leads the Liberty League and is ninth in the nation in goals and leads the Liberty League and is ninth in the nation in goals per game (5.07). Natalie LaBeau and Shelby Boland lead the team with 14 assists. Caroline Kenlon has a team-best 60 ground balls. Emily Hirsch has won a team best 84 draws. Szwajkowski has won 79 draws. Kenlon has played a majority of the minutes for Skidmore. She is 9-4 with an 11.95 GAA and a .451 save percentage.

Saturday's game will be the 26th meeting between William Smith and Skidmore in a series that dates back to 1986. The Herons own a 21-4 edge in the series, including a 7-2 mark in Saratoga Springs.
