Walker Anderson advanced to the doubles finals today at the ITA Northeast Regional Championships. They fell to Skidmore's JT Wynne and Noah Williamson 6-4, 6-3, who entered the tournament as the No. 1 seed.
Dubrovsky and Anderson will advance to the 2019 ITA Cup at the Rome Tennis Center at Berry College in Rome, Ga.
Dubrovsky and Anderson entered the tournament seeded second. They defeated St. Lawrence's Nathan Turtledove and Quinn Bermingham 8-6 in the first round. In the second round, they topped Rensselaer's Abraham Yohaness and Eddie Wu 8-5. On Saturday, Dubrovsky and Anderson continued to rattle off wins defeating TCNJ's Thomas Wright and Gokul Murugesan 8-3 in the quarterfinals. Dubrovsky and Anderson ended the day with a win over Rochester's Sahaj Somani and Pasquale Procaccino 8-6 to advance to the finals.
Dubrovsky also advanced to the semifinals in the singles championships as the No. 1 seed. Dubrovsky began play on Friday inside Bristol Field House with a 6-1, 6-1 victory over Union's Del Shunk. In the second round, he defeated the Lions' Nikola Kilibarda 6-0, 6-3. In the round of 16, he dropped the first set to Brandon Jimenz 2-6, but battled back to win 6-4, 6-0. Dubrovsky cruised to the semifinals, defeating Hamilton's Rob Dotterer 6-1, 6-1, for this 73rd career singles win.
This morning, Dubrovsky was matched up against the Lions' Matthew Michibata, who entered the tournament as the fourth seed. Dubrovsky fell to Michibata 6-4, 6-4. Michibata fell to Rensselaer's Sebastian Castillo-Sanchez 6-3, 6-4 in the final.
The Statesmen had five other players compete in the singles championship. First-year
Kaan Ayman fell in the quarterfinals to Castillo-Sanchez 6-2, 6-3. Ayman opened the tournament with a win over Ithaca's Sam Fried 6-1, 6-2. In the second round he swept the Dutchmens' Austin Egna in straight sets. Ayman continued his winning streak through the round of sixteen, defeating Skidmore's Noah Williamson 6-2, 6-4.
First-year
Harry Lyu opened the tournament with a win over Turtledove 6-3, 6-3. In the second round, he defeated Rochester's Peter Huang 6-0, 6-3. In the round of 16, Lyu was tripped up by the Thoroughbreds' Jack McClaren 6-4, 6-7 (2-7), 6-3. Anderson was victorious in the first round with a win over the Yellowjackets' Sahaj Somani 6-4, 7-5. Jack Ledford also notched a win in the first round over Union's Cameron Klepper 6-1, 6-1. Anderson fell to Castillo-Sanchez in the second round 6-3, 6-1, and Ledford was defeated by Skidmore's Alper Kulturel 6-1, 6-1. Sophomore
Thomas Shung fell to the Engineers' Abraham Yohaness 7-6, 6-0 in the first round.
Hobart was represented by two other teams in the doubles championships. Ayman and Lyu notched a win in the first round over Rochester's Tanmay Thakkar and Yifan Shen 8-6. They continued into the second round, defeating Vassar's Mathew Yee and Nicolas Demaria 8-5. Ayman and Lyu fell to Williamson and Wynne in the quarterfinals 8-6. Ledford and first-year

Dubrovsky and Anderson will take to the Rome Tennis Center Courts for the ITA Cup Oct. 17-20.
