Â
In his first three seasons, Forde has recorded 139 tackles, 27.5 tackles for loss, 8.5 sacks, five pass breakups, four forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries, two interceptions and a blocked kick. He finished the 2019 campaign with 81 stops, 21.0 for a loss, seven sacks, three fumbles forced and two fumbles recovered. The Liberty League Defensive Player of the Year recorded at least three tackles in every game, including a season-high 12 in wins over Montclair State and Rensselaer.
Â
While the 2020 Hobart football season was canceled due to the pandemic, the Statesmen begin small group workouts today, part of a gradual plan to build up to full team practices.
Â
Over the past 20 years, 11 Statesmen, including Forde, have been named to D3football.com's preseason All-America teams a total of 15 times. Nine of those 15 selections have been on the defensive side of the ball. Forde is the fifth Hobart player tabbed to the first team, joining Tim Booth '03 (2001), Tyre Coleman '15 (2013, 2014), Devin Worthington '14 (2013), and Brandon Shed '18 (2017).
