GENESEO, N.Y.—Hobart College finished 18th out of 22 teams at the NCAA Division III Men's Cross Country Niagara Regional Championship this morning. The 8-kilometer race was held at the National Warplane Museum hosted by SUNY Geneseo.
Matt Fridel was the first Statesman to cross the finish line, posting a time of 28:57.0. He was 112th out of 159 runners.
Jonathan Garcia was 10 places back, logging a time of 29:16.6.
Henry Loudon ran a season's best 29:27.8 and was 124th.
Ian Albreski covered the course in 30:04.5 and was 130th.
Jason Montecalvo also recorded a season's best time, finishing 131st in 30:05.1.
Geneseo won the team title by 94 points over second place Rochester. Cortland's Ryan Cory posted a winning time of 29:27.7, 3.3 seconds ahead of Brockport's Ethan Carey.
