10/14/2022 4:46:00 PM

The Hobart College football team returns to action Saturday, Oct. 15 when the Statesmen visit Liberty League rival Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. The game is scheduled to kickoff at noon at East Campus Stadium in Troy, New York.

The game will be broadcast live on WEOS-FM (89.5/90.3 in Geneva). Online, fans can follow the action with live video from RPI TV and live stats on rpiathletics.com.

The game will be the 65th all-time meeting between the teams. Hobart took a slim 32-31-1 lead in the series with last season's 10-9 victory on Boswell Field. Linebacker CJ Calero '22 blocked an extra point attempt by the Engineers late in the fourth quarter and linebacker Bryan Aguilar sealed the victory with an interception on RPI next and final drive.

Rayshawn Boswell led the Hobart offense, rushing for a career-high 146 yards on 18 carries (8.1 yds/rush). His 49-yard touchdown run in the first quarter put the Statesmen in the lead for good.

This year, the Statesmen are 3-2 overall. Hobart was idle last week after losing its Liberty League opener on Oct. 1 to nationally-ranked Ithaca.

The Statesmen offense is averaging 143.6 yards rushing per game and 181.4 yards through the air while scoring 27.6 points per game.
