GENEVA, N.Y.—The Statesmen took second place in the Cross Country Only Championship today at Seneca Lake State Park.

Senior Jonathan Garcia paced the Statesmen in the 8K race taking first place overall with a time of 28:01.8. Garcia beat his season best 8K time by 37 seconds today.

Sean Mucheru ran a 29:09.5 and Ian Albreski ran a 29:16.1 to both place in the top 10. Both Mucheru and Albreski  improved upon their best 8K times from this season as well. The Statesmen had six top-20 finishers out of 72 runners.
