Dargie joins HWS Sports Medicine Team

GENEVA, N.Y.—Hobart and William Smith Colleges Athletics Healthcare Administrator and Coordinator of Sports Medicine Stephanie Habecker recently announced the hiring of Assistant Athletic Trainer Hannah Dargie.
 
"Hannah is an excellent addition to our staff as we expand our intercollegiate sport offerings," says Habecker. "We are excited to bring her to our team and help her continue to grow as a sports medicine professional. Hannah is well-equipped to keep our Herons and Statesmen healthy and competing."
 
Dargie comes to the Colleges from Stoneleigh-Burnham School in Greenfield, Massachusetts. She served as the head athletic trainer, assistant to the dean of students, healthcare assistant and house parent for the all-girls independent boarding and day school. Dargie's athletic trainer responsibilities included working with the soccer, tennis, volleyball, basketball and softball teams.
 
As the healthcare assistant, she managed COVID-19 pool testing of students and faculty and assisted with the medical treatment of students under the direction of the school physician and nurse.
 
Dargie earned a bachelor's degree in athletic training from Springfield College in 2021. As an undergraduate, she spent a semester as a student athletic trainer at Deerfield Academy, working with the coed preparatory school's fall sports teams, including cross country, football, soccer and volleyball. Dargie gained additional experience as a student athletic trainer for the Pride, working with the men's lacrosse and volleyball teams in 2019 and the football team in 2020. She also was a student athletic trainer at Springfield High School for winter and spring sports in 2020.
 
Dargie is a board certified athletic trainer and a member of the National Athletic Training Association.
